Phuket Trip 3D2N RM700

Meeting two real friends in life is better than having 2000 friends in Facebook :)

Phuket, is a rainforested, mountainous island in the Andaman Sea, has some of Thailand's most popular beaches, mostly situated along the clear waters of the western shore. The island is home to many high-end seaside resorts, spas and restaurants. Patong, is the main town, has a more casual vibe and is filled with wild nightclubs, bars and discos.

1. Rent a Motor Bike or a Car
2. Get an Internet Pass
3. Try all the Local Food
4. Eat Deep Fried Worms and others insects
5. Visit Bangla Street and get drunk over there
6. Beach Hoping
7. Spend a day at Phi Phi Island
8. Bye Phuket

Air Ticket and Accommodations

Due to this is a last minute decision, we book the flight ticket go on 28/4/2015 and return on 30/4/2015. The ticket price is RM 200 for one way so we decide to book together with AirAsia Go.

The total amount for our rooms for 2 nights and 3 person is only RM 1140 including tax but without any baggage. Which means, for each of us is only spending RM380 for flight and ro

Transport ( 830 Baht/person + Petrol 100 Baht/person)

Since there is 3 of us, we decide to rent a car from one of the car rental company at airport. We rent a Toyota Vios Auto for Thai Baht 900 per day, but we manage to get additional discount, so total 2500 Baht for 3 days.

Internet Data ( 60 Baht/person )

Inside Phuket International Airport, you can collect your free Tourist Sim Card at the counter towards exit entrance. We register only one simcard and reload 180 Baht at Tesco Lotus near to the airport. Then we activate 3 days unlimited data for 150 Baht and share hotspot among us.

Map/ Directory/ Locations

Since we have our internet plan now, we open Google Map and drive to our hotel at Patong Beach. By the way, we also took a paper map in airport in case the Google Map not function well. Fortunately, most of the road sign are using International Language to make sure the tourist not going to the wrong way.

Foods and Drinks ( around 1000 Baht/person for 3 days )

Most of the food we had is local. Therefore is quite cheap and most of it is very delicious.

Food you should TRY, MUST TRY:
1. Thai Style Banana Pancake
2. Thai Style Fried Kuey Tiaw
3. Thai Style Pork Noodles
4. Ice Cream Roll
5. Tomyun
6. All types of weird food: crocodile meat, worm, cicak and etc.
7. Songtam ( Thai Style Papaya Salad)
8. Thai Style Mushroom Soup
9. Mango Rice
10. Pork Meat Ball

Supermarket

We visited one of the supermarket in Phuket, called Supercheap. The things, products, food whatever. If you love BigBang, Thai Instant Noodles, Olay Facial Products, Yogurt Drink, Junk Foodsss and etc.. You can stop by this supermarket on your first, last or any day in your trip to grab all your favorite souvenir in cheaper rate compare to Malaysia.

Beachesss

Since we got no plan, so we decide to drive to the town and beach around us on the second day. All the beach there are beautiful, the sea water is blue, crystal blue, very lovely. On the way back from town, we stop by at Kamala Beach and Surin Beach, there is another two I forgot the name. The sand is white and there is plenty of tourist is having sun bath over here. Among all the beach in Phuket, Patong seems like more happening because you can see food stalls around, two row of pubs and club opposite each other and a lot younster. If you love nightlife or you enjoy music all around the street, go for Patong Beach! But conclusion still, all the beach in Phuket is beautiful!

Island Hoping ( 900 Baht/person )

On second day in Phuket, we bought a package on cruise to 7 island. We stop at 3 island for snorkeling at others just pass by.

Bamboo Island
is perfectly nice for snorkeling because the water there is crystal clear and you are able to see a lot fishes and sea cucumber just not far away from the beach.

Maya Bay
water is slightly polluted becuase my skin is quite sensitive to the water which is not clean. But still, the fishes here is more than Bamboo Island, I enjoy snorkeling here and play with the fish in the water. This also the spot who make me has serious sun burn after come back from Phuket, because I did not apply any sunblock and expose to the sun for nearly 1 hour.

Phi Phi Island
I had a bad experience going to this island because during our trip the island is under renovation, the water is definitely not clean and there is not much entertainment there. By the way, if you are looking for place to relax, this is a good spot.

Currency Exchange

At KL Sentral
RM100 = Thai Baht 871

At one of the currency exchange in Patong (Best rate we found )
RM100 = Thai Baht 900

Because this was our last minutes plan, we do not have much time to do survey on exchanging rate, so you can actually look for better rate than this.
