Anyway, I plan my trip on 3/5/2015-10/5/2015 because this is the Blossom season in Korea. The initial plan was somewhere around March to April because I wanted to celebrate my birthday during March and April is the beginning of Spring which also the best timing for visiting Korea.
The most common question I had been asked: Is Korea really that expensive? How much did I spent in total? For the 8 days in Korea my total spending is RM2,500 including flight, accommodation, foods, and entrance ticket. If says only expenses in Korea without big shopping, I can say RM1,500 is more than enough for 8 days in Korea.
Below is my fee breakdown which you can refer:
Air Ticket - RM750
This is the return ticket from Kuala Lumpur to Seoul, 20kg baggage to Seoul, 25kg baggage back to Kuala Lumpur. I bought from Airasia Zero Flight ticket promo during December 2014. It is not the cheapest and you can always get this price whenever they got promotion.

For the whole long of 7 nights, I am staying in a ladies sharing room of 4 person at this Kimchee Dongdaemun Guesthouse, it located at 10 minutes walking distance from Dongdaemun train station and 15 minutes walk to Gwangjang Market ( previous known as Dongdaemun Market ). This guesthouse offer free WIFI, Friday night Soju session and the staff is very helpful in assisting tour info. I bought my Everland ticket from them with a offer rate as well. If given 10 as best, I will rate this guesthouse as 6 for the convenient location and facilities. The disadvantage of staying in this guesthouse is also the location is very near to the main street so is very noisy during day and night.

Transportation - RM280
Most of the time I am using T-money card for the train and bus and only one time for taxi because I am too late to catch the train when I come back from Everland. If you are taking express train from Incheon airport or cable car, you have to buy the ticket separately. For express train, I doesn't recommend to use it as it is not really express and consider expensive compare with normal one, you can take a normal train to Seoul with only 5-10 minute difference for time consume.
T-Money card can be purchase at Airport with Line cartoon and they will free a booklet of voucher which can use in some restaurant and entrance ticket.
Namsan Tower Cable Car One way ticket |
Internet - RM125
I bought kt Mobile Nano SIM card for RM125 (35,000 won). It support 1GB internet and can use only for 7 days. Beside getting a sim card, is more recommended for you to rent a portable WIFI from kt olleh which can share up to 3-5 devices with unlimited download. The price for 8 days is about 44,000 won (RM154) as mentioned by my friend. You can check it out at the kiosk inside the airport for more info.

Most of the places I visited is no entrance ticket required. For RM340 is including Nami Island with Zipwire, Everland and Korean Folk Village (which film for many Korean drama)

Since I am travelling alone, is a shame to say that I only tried Korean BBQ once during my trip because it required minimum 2-3 person for set ordering. I tried this grill beef in Suwon together with one of my Japanese roomate together with her two Korean couple. The couple explain to us that Suwon is the oldest and also the famous place to eat beef because Suwon is only place can slaughter the cow during old days. The rest of time I am having random meals at random places.
